Jack White has officially wiped his hands clean of his former hometown of Detroit, MI. (He currently hangs his hat in Nashville, TN.) He has now put his house in the D on the market, the historic 1731 Seminole, with an asking price just under a million dollars: $930,000.00.Koi Pond! Cool.The house is beautiful and well-maintained, containing many of the original details of the house. The expansive house features a laundry room, attic, library, sunroom, formal dining room, full dressing room, and a Herring-Hall-Marvin Walk-In Safe. One of the hidden treasures of the abode is a large “secret garden” courtyard with a Koi Pond in the center.
I bet the house is like, all red and white stripes! Ha ha... !

Wow, Detroit is dead cheap to live in. Know what the same money buys you in Vancouver? A lot...as in an empty lot.

At first, this sounded like a lame rip-off of Alarm Will Sound's _Acoustica_ (orchestral Aphex Twin), but I have to say, those orchestrations (by composer Joby Talbot -- http://www.jobytalbot.com) are surprisingly effective.

Did anyone else check out the "history" section of the 1731 Seminole website? Jack White is included in the list of owners ... but his picture (and link to his Wikipedia entry) appears to be of Don Knotts ...
