Jazz Pianist Jeff Goldblum Files Restraining Order Against His Last Remaining Fan

Didn't get beyond the "Jazz Pianist Jeff Goldblum" part of the post title, right? Who knew! At this point you have to expect that every actor's a wannabe musician, too. We've actually heard a little of his jazz hands at work, and it's not atrocious. Not good, but not atrocious. Unlike his scatting. Anyway, TMZ has the scoop on Jeff's filing a restraining order against a 44-year-old woman who has turned up at his house uninvited 50 times over a three month period and has sent him threatening letters.

According to the documents, Ransom met Goldblum at an acting school in Los Angeles where Goldblum teaches. She then began showing up at various locations where he performed with his jazz band, The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra.
He's got a gigging band! But what's more bizarre: that Jeff Goldblum plays in The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra? Or that Jeff Goldblum still has fans? Oh we keed, we keed. Jeff was awesome in Jurassic Park. In 1993.

Believe me, it's Jeff's world, we're just living in it.

Geez! What's with the anti-Goldblum sentiment? Didn't you see "The Life Aquatic"? He's brilliant in that.
And as far as his musicianship, dude used to walk into LA restaurants as a kid and get hired on the spot after sitting at the piano for 2 minutes. Not a bad way to earn a little scratch when you're hustling for acting gigs.

I never saw him play when he was a kid, but that scatting was awful.

Why are you guys slagging Jeff Goldblum??? And why would you even bother blogging about it? You want to make fun of idiot-actors that think they're musicians? There's plenty to choose from: Jared Leto, Jena Malone, Bruce Willis, Keanu Reeves, etc. There's tons of 'em (and those are just off the top of my head). At least Goldblum's a pretty good actor....I will never understand you, 'gum!

Jeebus, he HAS worked since '93. Life Aquatic and Igby Goes Down are two of my favorite films!

The Fly makes up for a lot.. he's still got a bit of awesome-credit left. He's using it up fast, though. Cmon and do some more awesome stuff, Mr. Ex Geena Davis.

I liked him in Igby and I think he has a certain charm, but he really isn't good for much. But Nine Months? Cats And Dogs? Holy Man? Fucking Man Of The Year? Good grief people.

I guess Goldblum doesn't have the "indie cred" to be truly respected by such an esteemed music blog. Keep up your posts on Beyonce & John Mayer,... truly riveting news reporting.

everyone does stupid movies though in their acting career. I really just think the writer of this post thought everyone would agree that goldblum sucks and that all we would remember him from his Jurassic park. in 1993. it was a silly post.

Henry Fool Part II!!! Starring Jeff Goldblum!
No joke!

Also, that's not his only stalker. I met a girl that lived in the same building as him, and she broke into his apartment and snagged a pair of his sneakers after trying on his clothes. Apparently, other celeb types used to show up at his place once in a while to jam, but I can't remember any names now.

Okay, Jeff Goldblum is still the definition of pure awesomeness. I realive this post came out before these, but there was the excellent series Raines, which I really wish they hadn't cancelled, and Adam Resurected, which was an amazing movie. And now he's starring in Law and Order Criminal Intent, with two more movies coming out in 2010, and of course I failde to mention his older movies that came out AFTER Jurrassic Park, Powder, 9 Months, Independance Day, Beyond Suspicion (which was actually pretty good), Cats & Dogs, Spinning Boris, Life Aquatic, Mini's First time,......Jeff Goldblum still has a strong fanbase, and I will be his fan eternally. I may not be his biggest fan, because I don't have the whole 'crazily breaking into his apartment' thing going on, but I am probably one of his youngest fans and i'm introducing to my friends his amazingness. So, I believe I have made my point, which is, "You're such a fool"
