Jeans And MP3s

99¢ too much to shell out for the Calexico tune you heard on Laguna last night? Well, if you're in the market for new dungarees* you're in luck. Clothing companies are giving away digital downloads, in some cases just for TRYING ON a pair of jeans.

*Always refer to jeans as "dungarees." MUCH funnier.

'Dungarees' def needs to be used more, as does 'slacks'. I do enjoy a nice pair of slacks.

If they're not a pair of old-assed Levi's 501 jeans, they need something to make their crappy products sell. They stopped making jeans worth $80 a pair in 1972.

Stone washed jeans w/ a stone washed sheepskin coat. Damn... I'm glad no one took a picture of me wearing that combo in 1986... had a Huey Lewis-ish mullet as well to top off the look.

I always thought dungarees was an antiquated term for jeans. Like what your grandma said. But I could be totally wrong. Or it could be an East Coast thing.

dungarees are to jeans/denim as trousers are to slacks/pants. i believe "the british" also refer to overalls as dungarees???

that'd be a great word to find out the etymology on.
