Judas Priest And Slayer Join MBV, Radiohead, Jay-Z, And Neil Young At Roskilde '08

Brandon can attest, last year's Roskilde was a glorious mud bath. We're guessing it can't rain as much this time around, but even if it does, the lineup's intriguing enough that if you can find a way to get to Denmark in early July, you should definitely attend (the actual dates are 7/3-7/6). Maybe we're talking shit, but it seems like the best overseas fests have a way with heavy eclecticism. For instance, the main Roskilde headliners include the Chemical Brothers, Grinderman, Jay-Z, Judas Priest, My Bloody Valentine, Radiohead, Slayer, and Neil Young. Then there's also Dillinger Escape Plan, Yeasayer, Holy Fuck, At The Gates (!), M.I.A., Gnarls Barkley, No Age, Liars, Sunburned Hand Of The Man, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Tokyo Police Club, the Notwist, etc. Grab a magnifying glass and check out the poster to see some more...

Things get a bit fuzzy toward the bottom, so if you want more info you can go to the Roskilde site or download the lineup poster in a larger size (watch out, Acrobat's gonna jump out at you).

The MBV billing puts this one over the top in comparison to other festivals. So far, I think this and Primavera have the best line-ups in regards to my tastes.

If only I was able to get overseas this summer. that's an impressive lineup- much better than what many festivals are offering here in the US.

Yea this lineup looks killer. I would have to agree with Michael...I really really want to go to Primavera Sound...is def my favorite lineup out of anything I've seen so far. I expressed my problems with this years US festival lineups on my blog. Why do they get MBV, Radiohead and Neil Young all on one bill and we get Jack Johnson? Not fair I tell you!

I can wholeheartedly recommend everyone to go there. I've been there three times and it's some of the best times I've had in my life. So much more than music.
