Jus Ske Mixtape - My Mind Is Playin' Tricks On Me

Jus Ske is jus your average in demand NYC DJ, making a fan out of Pharrel and every fancy face this side of the Meatpacking District with his party starting turntable sessions. On his new mixtape, Jus pulls together snippets of Snoop, Blur ("How Does It Feel"), Sting ("An Englishman Was That Girl In New York"), Smashing Pumpkins ("Smashing Young Girls"), and Radiohead ("An Airbag Saved My Best Friend") for 53 minutes of nasty. Download it here (zshare). Considering dude charges $50K a night, it's the financially prudent thing to do.

Enjoy.

I was hoping you found another Girl Talk. Wow. This is really pedestrian.

I really hope that's the only time we ever have to see a Jus Ske tag on here.

anyone with abelton could do the stuff girl talk does.

i like how jus ske inserts that little nelly furtado instrumental when pharrell says something like, "flying like a bird like nelly furtado."

there are some other little references he puts in there too, but i can't remember right now. i normally don't like these, but he actually does it pretty well.

Maybe I'm just too much of a musical purist, but he chops a little too much up for my taste. I'm not doubting the man's skils, or his demand for a phat 50k, but i guess it's just not my style. Some of the vocals he throws over what were awesome songs is a little suspect at times.

Yes, 50k is a lot of money. However, if these rich and famous yahoos keep paying it, I'd keep charging it myself. Aim high.

no more girl talk at all, pleeease.
Are you people serious? Girl Talk is nothing fresh, mashups have been around before his time. Sure it's fun to see him live, but all it comes down to is a sweaty salty dance party for hipsters as opposed to one for the skanks in the meat-packing clubs

Good point Mixnerd.

Screw it, I got a laptop and Ableton LIVE. I could put on a show like this for $50 plus free drinks. I mean, it wouldn't be quite as good... but you could spend the $49,950 savings on drugs.

I understand Gillis is not the originator. But it's clever and well done. Like a dirty version of Stars on 45. By the way, I'm neither a hipster or a meat-packer. Although I have seen my way around a skank or two (thus the cooties).
