Kanye Rerecords "Love Lockdown" You guys thought the first serving was a "Love" letdown, so Kanye took the track back to the studio for new vocals, taiko drums, synths, and an overall remastering job. Listen at his blog. And if you don't like the autotune ... he says tough shit.

it's definitely better than the original version and i really like the drums, but the vocals still aren't strong enough, especially on the chorus. but it's still better than the first one.

definitely much better than the first one (which sounded like a demo).

didn't hear the first one - so not hearing the "new" one must be _even_ better. I'll wait and hear it as the backing snippet to some diamond ring I'll never need or some futuristique automobile I'll never yearn for.

Yep, it was true when I said it last time, too.

Y'know, just sayin...

Good re-recording though. It's cool, Ye thinks he's Prince. My kids will watch his halftime show performance when their my age.

this version is way better actually, i dissed the original one pretty hard, but this is much better than before, funny how a little reworking can make such a difference

This is so much better. The chorus is actually really good. I totally shit on the first one too, but this gives it a more rock-oriented feel as opposed to the soulless r&b of the "demo".
kinda radiohead-y, no?

"Love Lockdown" is obviously a reference to the Arrested Development episode "Meet The Veals", right?

Yeah, you really gotta lock that down...

kanye isn't talented enough to make an amnesiac but it would be fun to see him try

looking forward to 808's if love letdown is any indication. even if it does suck
