While I was busy daytripping to vineyards and pirate stores, that out-of-touch trainwreck we call The Grammys Nominations thrust its spotlight on a new crop of overrated "crossover" artists and recently deceased dudes. Album Of The Year and Best New Artist are the only outcomes I tend to remember (not counting Jethro Tull's Best Heavy Metal win in '87), so let's focus our derision on those categories...

My theory on why the grammy people seem to nominate artists such as Alica Keys, Elvis Costello, and Norah Jones year after year is that the grammy's have taken so much crap over the years for nominating and giving awards to Milli Vanilli and the Starland Vocal Band and so by nominating artists such as Alica, Elvis and Norah they feel that they would get cred with the critics since those artists are the critics darlings. But honestly....Joe Strummer and Johnny Cash nominated for best pop caloboration???? WTF!? The grammy's still don't have much of a clue.

I think Dave is in just in the video for the song not sure if he plays on the actual track.
