LCD Soundsystem Cover Alan Vega

We'd spoken briefly about LCD Soundsystem's Vinyl Saturday 12" featuring a cover of "Bye Bye Bayou" from Alan Vega's eponymous 1980 solo debut. Talk is cheap. Take a listen at HypeM. (While you're there, compare/contrast with the original.)

Remember, Record Store Day's Vinyl Saturday is 11/7, if you want to get a physical copy of Murphy's kinder, gentler, dancier Vega impersonation. If you can't make it to an independent record store, though, it'll be available digitally 11/24 via DFA/Virgin. (Also remember: James Murphy would probably prefer it if you owned the physical copy.)

The orginal reminded me how I was thinking the other day how I'll miss walking into the Virgin Megastore and hearing maybe that "Stop Making Sense" blueray pumping throught the store...It seems like a small thing but looking back...
