Lennon Brothers On The Road To Reconciliation

After nearly a lifetime of estrangement and allegations of making "cheesy pop" records, the fruit of Lennon's loins are making an attempt to bond by cruising Europe together. Via ContactMusic:

Half brothers JULIAN LENNON, 43, and SEAN LENNON, 31 - both musicians - have different mothers and have rarely seen each other over the years. But now Julian has joined Sean on his tour bus as it travels across Europe. Sean says, "How sweet is that? I am totally thrilled and deeply touched by this. It's really fun having him on the bus. It's nice to have some quality time with him. None of my friends are willing to rough it on the tour bus, so I am very impressed."
Aww, that IS sweet!

And since we are not at all cynical, we won't say that it sounds like somebody needs a job.

Am I foolish to think that this is kind of.. oh, I dunno... nice?

I mean, they are brothers for cryin' out loud. Least they can hang out and be civil.

why didn't you cross-reference that post you had a while back where Sean was bitching out the reporter who said the two brothers didnt like each other? Sean cleared up the whole thing, laid it out straight; said they're brothers, he looked up to Julian, would never say things like that. shame on you, stereogum, trying to start shit between brothers! thats just wrong.

"None of my friends are willing to rough it on the tour bus" -- Does no one think this is an absurd comment? While touring is not glamorous by any means, being on a bus compared to say a van, is hardly "roughing it."

let the flames begin....

I'm sure living in a bus is pretty rough when compared to, say, living in the Dakota...

please give julian a break. he's never been in trouble and has lived a very private life. yoko shafted him out of his share of his father's fortune but has never made a public issue out of it. not so sure the rest of us would handle it the same way.

You know...I am so sick of people bashing Julian when they don't even know what they're talking about.

So before you listen to all the negativity here and pass judgment on Julian, please listen to the sound bytes of his last two albums (see links below).

And, as this person so rudely implies, Julian does NOT need a job; and if this person would actually read up about him instead of making assumptions, they would know that.

BTW...Julian is due to be releasing his 6th album sometime this year. So if you like what you hear, just keep an eye on his official website for details.

Photograph Smile (1999):

Help Yourself (1991):
http://www.amazon.com/Help-Yourself-Julian-Lennon/dp/B000002IRK/ref=pd_bbs_sr_5/104-9156540-9727963?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1173842659&sr=8-5

One final note about Sean and Julian trying to get to know each other. I think that's great! :) They're brothers after all and should get to know each other better.

Ooh, maybe they'll put out an album together! For many years I've happily ignored the music of both Sean and Julian Lennon... but imagine how exciting it will be to ignore an album where they collaborate!

Julian is going to be hopefully releasing his 6th album this year. And please, please actually listen to his music before passing judgment on him. If you go to Amazon, you can listen to sound bytes of his albums. If you have never heard his last two, they are "Help Yourself" (1991) and "Photograph Smile". I really don't understand all this negativitiy towards him. He is a very talented singer/songwriter IMHO and VERY underappreciated. It boggles my mind that those that have happily ignored his albums, act like his music is crap when they haven't even heard it. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Julian is releasing a new in '07. Please listen to sound bytes at Amazon of his last 2 CDs, before passing judgment. I really don't understand all this negativity. It boggles my mind that those who have ignored his albums, act like his music is crap when they haven't even heard it in recent years. You may be pleasantly surprised.
