Lily Allen, Coming To America?

Reader DJ Budgie writes in:

For all the hype surrounding Lily Allen, it's strange that no one has mentioned her show at the Troubadour on October 14 (went on sale last week). It appears to be her first (and only) US show.
Hey, good point Budgie! It's not even on her MySpace. Is anyone going?

Speaking of Lily Allen, some bloke Clayton made a splendid chill-out remix of "Smile." Download his "Bum Ran Off With My Chicken Mix" at claytoncounts.com/blog/. While you're there, check out his collection of poorly-conceived celebrity singles. MP3s from Chris “Corky” Burke, Hulk Hogan, Herve Villechaize, Ed McMahon, and some people you've never heard of.

L. Allen created a nice little summer disc ... that won't come out here until next Winter.

So it's time to champion a more exciting prospect ... Uffie's where it's at!

I'm pretty sure most people just flat out don't care about Lily Allen and Uffie, and that's why no one's buying tickets to Allen's shows. Her schtick is entertaining at first, but there's no substance behind it. And I feel like her live show would be a bomb anyway.

There are three dates planned: San Fran, LA, and NYC.

She's coming to Chicago as well. Tickets go on sale Saturday...

There's a 6-week long gap in the tour schedule on her site (between Sept. 9th and Oct. 21) that I suppose allows for some US dates.

Here's hoping her tour spreads at least as much as the Os Mutantes tour did. Not too much of a stretch to see Seattle and Chicago get squeezed in there. Lord knows she's getting enough airplay here in Seattle to justify a stop here. You can't turn on KEXP for very long w/o hearing something off of Alright Still.

You're right, tankboy, I was being awfully harsh. I just have nothing better to do than dismiss music that other people care about because I'm 34 and my band's shitty demo isn't getting any airplay on the local collage radio station.

Also, my penis is smaller than average.
