Listen To The New Killers Album

Suave, sexy and loaded with knockout rock anthems, they beat down on you like the Las Vegas sun. In stores 6/15.

"Indie Rock & Roll" is apparently on the UK album only?

Anyway, if you're itching for new desktop wallpaper, click here for a giant JPG of the album cover.

And click here to check out the band's iTunes Celebrity Playlist, which includes my favorite Leonard Cohen song, my favorite Talking Heads song, and assorted other cuts from the usual suspects.

FYI -- You can get 15% off the Killers disc at Insound using coupon code killer15.

That Killers song 'Indie Rock and Roll' is just ruthlessly bad though- whenever I listen to it, all I can think about is that this must be what it would sound like to have dengue fever and simulatenously be forced to listen to the worst of Queen's discography.

Yeah, most every song on the record is superb except for that one.

I actually like "Indie Rock & Roll." It's so easy to hate (especially with a title like that), so I can understand not liking it, but it's really anthemic. I always sing along.

i like it except for the vocodered vocals. All I can think of is that kid rock song, where he's all down on his rock 'n roll lifestyle.

Hey Scoot.

Yeah, they never intended to release "Indie Rock N Roll" in the states... in fact long ago when I told Mark (bassist) that I had passed their EP on to Carlos (Interpol), he was horribly embarassed that it included that song.

That said, hearing it in concerts is super fun...

how can you make a square album cover into a rectangular desktop background?!?

Obviously it's gonna be cropped, but if you center it, it looks fine.

does the record feature 6,000 overweight back-up singers on "I've Got Soul But I'm Not A Soldier", like their Coachella back-alley abortion of a performance? some say worst gimmick ever.

that being said, "Somebody Told Me" is the hottness. and I agree with the masses, "Indie Rock N Roll" could be the worst song since Hoobastank's "The Reason" ...

They were indeed pretty lackluster at Coachella.

Oh, and when they brought out the gospel backing choir, I half expected Bono and The Edge to come onstage.

Indie Rock and Roll is indeed terrible, they should have replaced it w/ Under The Gun (their best song imo) on the US release

i like "somebody told me" and "on top" the most.

yeah indie rock n roll sucks big time. it sounds like something the TRL audience would enjoy.

"Indie Rock & Roll" is not a bad song at all. I am very impressed with the variety of 'The Killers' music. I hope they continue to create the same quality songs and b-sides in the future. I firmly believe this band has a strong and bright future ahead of them. Keep it up, guys!
