it's no ? -- the official site is pretty clear.
Score = 0
Maybe it's because people like me, who thoroughly would have loved to have seen all of those bands, shudder at the thought of going to a "venue" like the effing Tweeter Center. It seemed too weird for bands like TV on the Radio and The Walkmen to be playing places like that

True dat. I wanted to register my surprise.

I really feel sorry for the bands...this was a huge stage for them to get some national recognition, and now they're back to square one...There's gonna be a lot of scrambling around now to get their individual summer tours up and going. I hope it works out for them ok. This has to be a pretty big letdown for them.

Maybe I'm just not cool enough, but the lineup wasn't THAT great. Some awesome bands, yes, but compared to other years (like last year, for example), not that stellar.
Score = 0
I thought the line up was great, but I don't think teens these days would be too interested. These bands were great for 20 and 30 somethings, no? Maybe if they added a more recent band for the youngins, more interest would be generated in other cities?

All I wanted was some Modest Mouse, TV on the Radio, Von Bondies and Sonic Youth in my life. Dammit. Dammit dammit dammit!

You can still buy tickets on the Ticketmaster site.

i think if they wouldn't have split it into two days, way more folks would have gone. crap...
Score = 0
agreed. two days was a bit much. and STRING CHEESE INCIDENT headlining day two? come on... this isn't bonaroo (no offense, scott).
not to mention, how many indie rock kids buy tix like that in advance? i was possibly going to go, but if i were, i'd buy tickets closer to the actual date. not effing months in advance.
Score = 0
well, let's hope that most of these bands go on u.s. club tours instead.
Score = 0
it should have been one day and then try to put the major cities -- NYC, Chicago -- on the weekend. no way I was taking a day off for that. and as mentioned, most of the people who would've gone are people with real jobs, not people working the movie theater consession stand.

It's funny. because Morrissey has been cancelling things left and right, and I thought my Lollapalooza tickets were the one sureshot at seeing him this summer... even if it was Tweeter Center, even if it required a vacation day, I was willing to do it. I'm going to spend my ticket refund really foolishly, that'll ease my pain.
Score = 0
Anyone hear about how you go about getting the refund? I didnt go through ticketmaster (pre-sale i think from the website) and have these really fake looking clear channel tickets. Anybody know?
Score = 0
I THINK THAT THERE IS A CURSE.. EVERYONE THIS YEAR HAS BEEN EITHER GETTING HURT (BRITNEY, MADONNA) GETTING SICK (CHRISTINA AND JESSICA) OR JUST PLAIN FUCKED (EVERYONE AT LOLLAPALOOZA)SO SOMETHING IS UP .. I THINK WE ARE ALL GETTING PUNISHED...
Score = 0
I bought my tickets (cash) at a Ticketmaster outlet (NBA Store). Went to get my money today, and they wouldn't give it to me, saying "it's not officially cancelled" and to call them tomorrow. Incompetence? Desperate to bleed ticket charges out of people who haven't heard it's cancelled? Trying to cobble a line-up for NYC that would have half the bands drop out and force us to pay for half the show?

Kids don't want to go outside anymore when they can sit around all summer in the comfort of their overprotective/overly permissive parents ac'd house.
