Lollapalooza Schedule 2007

Never mind that your browser will title Lollapalooza's fresh new timetable page "Lollapalooza 2006" -- they got the dates straight on the sched itself, so let the stacked-timeslot identifying begin. And really, Day 1 is a breeze with no real conflicts to speak of, except maybe Son Volt vs. Ted Leo at 1:30PM. (Or if you're the kind of person that finds Daft Punk vs. Ben Harper a conflict.) Day 2 is a little trickier, with CSS, the Hold Steady, and Regina Spektor all overlapping around 5:30PM, and then the headliner choice of Muse vs. Interpol. But Day 3 is why you're making your sched in advance; the day's littered with conflicts of your interest. At 2:15PM you've got Los Campesionos! vs. the Black Angels vs. Lupe Fiasco vs. Winehouse (we love the Campesinos!); 5:15PM is Yo La Tengo vs. !!!; and roughest of all, 6:15PM is My Morning Jacket vs. Modest Mouse. Head over or click here to download a .pdf file of the sched and get busy sketching out your Lollapalineup and dreaming of sweaty walks across Grant Park.

I'm just happy Tokyo Police Club aren't up against anything else too great! They stole the show for me at Sasquatch.

Whoa, first comment about TPC, didn't expect that. But yeah, a 12:45 time slot pretty much guarantees no conflict, but also guarantees a long sweaty day out there. No after show parties for me Friday night I guess.

Like Perry even needs the money after Ultra Payloaded's monstrous 8,000-copy first week take. Curse these greedy former rock stars and their moneymaking schemes...

That schedule sucks. !!!, PB&J, and Yo la Tengo at the same time?! LCD and Daft Punk back to back? They are clearly not catering to indie kids.

Interpol and Muse on at the same time is the worst by far. I mean, Christ.

don't the conflicts come from the distance (between stages) and not the times? aren't some to the stages like a mile (literally) apart?

They are amazing.

Surely no one is trying to decide between Modest Mouse and My Morning Jacket are they? That's sort of a no brainer. MMJ...eeeeasily.

I know this is going to sound kind of odd, and I only looked because my friend's kids are going with us, but what special "very special guest" could be so special as to keep it under wraps on Saturday 3:15-3:45. Did anyone else happen to wonder that?

Why anyone would choose Muse over Interpol is beyond me.

just a warning to anyone who has not been there previously, walking from one end of Grant Park to another through a crowd of roughly 70,000 people takes 20 minutes. it's roughly 1 mile (maybe 1.5) in addition to all the people there.

before you make your schedule, wait until they post a map or something on the Lollapalooza site. if you want to say catch half of Amy Winehouse and half of Los Campesinos, it could be tough if you throw a 20 minute walk in there.

i was pretty disappointed with the layout last year and wasnt planning on going back until they announced that the Stooges were playing (I missed their show here with Shellac at the Congress Theatre). good luck!

Muse Vs. Interpol is like putting Led Zep and Pink Floyd against each other.
