Love Won't Tear You Apart

Ahh, the Valentine's Day Mix CD. The perfect gift for couples who haven't been together long enough to spend money on one another. Kidding -- Valetine's Day (or Anti-Valentine's Day) Mixes are always a good idea. And you've got this weekend to obsess over it. What mixes do you guys have planned for your loves ones this Tuesday? I'm sure you can't do better than Michael Scott's playlist:

Or this (iTunes "Indie Rock Love Songs" Mix).

I like how "Do You Realize?" is on the Indie Rock Love Songs mix. "Do you realize that everyone you know someday will die?...." Warms the heart.

No, the second link is supposed to go Indie Rock Love Songs. The first has no link, but I'll add. Thanks Robin.

That Indie Rock Love Songs list is hilarious. Since when have Nirvana and Oasis been indie? Not that I'm one of those types that give a damn when Indie Bands Get Big, and heck, I'm not a snob about other genres, but Nirvana and Oasis as indie? No. Not even. Try "grunge" and "britpop".

...sadder still is tthe songs themselves were "Wonderwall" and "About a Girl". Wow. Someone is not paying attention!

I'm wondering if "indie" is becoming for music what "organic" is now for food...

Ha! We haven't been together long enough, plus he's leaving on tour the 15th. So I'm basically making him a platonic rockin road mix (kicking off with Roadrunner Twice)-- it will appear to be called "VD MIX!", however upon closer inspection, it will really read

(Don't come home with a) VD MIX!

Sweet, sweet passive aggression.

I have created a "Dwight Schrute Bobblehead Petition" to help encourage the folks at NBC to produce one of those so very cool Bobbleheads of Dwight. Please sign it and show your support.
