Mark Linkous + Brian Burton = Dangerhorse

That's right. According to BBC Six Music (via Gigwise), Sparklehorse and Dangermouse are joining forces for a full album. Linkous says, “There were some songs that didn't make it for the Sparklehorse album proper that we're going to use for Dangerhorse, then we're we're going to start on that record proper in a couple of months. (Dangermouse can) just grab bits and pieces of different songs and just flip them over backwards and put them into other songs. I like to call him the Jimi Hendrix of the laptop."No word on costumes, but our expectations are high.

i find this news quite exciting. the new sparklehorse record is great - it would be fab if they released these outtakes in both their original and dangermouse'd versions, as i imagine both will be great in different ways.

will linkous now grow a pompadour though???
