McCartney, Katy Perry Headlining Coachella Claims Ryan Seacrest The fake Coachella flyers come earlier and earlier, but this year the official reveal is weeks late. KROQ's Kevin and Bean promised they would announce the line-up yesterday morning, but did not deliver. Now Ryan Seacrest has posted an "official 2009 lineup" on his blog. According to LA Times, the American Idol host is "completely wrong." And thank god for that -- there was no Animal Collective.

if katy perry headlines coachella, the festival has become a bigger joke than i'd realized. what's next, jack johnson? oh, wait...

i think the bigger problem here is that theyre quashing all of these rumors and fakes and STILL NOT RELEASING THE ACTUAL LINEUP.

i mean, seriously? how much longer must i wait until i decide to commit my 300 bones?

Katy Perry's career will be effectively over by the time she 'headlines' a festival. Especially one like Coachella. Shame on that lil guy Seacrest for getting tween girls' hopes up.

People make this festival out to be a WAY bigger deal than it actually is. Also, I hope Katy Perry does headline, so everyone who takes it way too seriously has too suffer.

Katy Perry might as well be headlining Coachella. It's no less corporate than any other festival. And any band worth seeing there is usually touring anyway. Exception: JAMC. You win some, you lose some.

I would love it if Katy Perry becomes this year's Jack Johnson; ie, she's the closing headliner for every single festival this year.

darn, he already deleted the entry.... maybe he was daydreaming like a whole lot of people... and what's with the hate? to me coachella is still the best festival around. and festival will always have some stupid choices.

Wait... Paul McCartney sharing a headlining spot with Katy Perry??? no no no. this is so wrong. Seacrest is a tard. and i bet most of his listeners were like "OH WOW, THATS AWESOME, But who is this Paul McCartney guy?"

I'm European and it happens in my country sometimes that the complete lineup is revealed only a week before the festival actually starts. So why worry?

Sorry haters, but Coachella is still THE festival in America. When the lineup does drop it will be sick.
