Elementary school anyone? (circa 1987) -- Gotcha, LA Gear, Hypercolor, Body Glove. I swear, at least the average working family could afford such clothes at J.C. Penny back then. $75? Seriously, "fashion" is getting out of hand.

Wow, it's funny how much people are haters these days.
so what her clothes are expensive, no one is telling you that you have to buy them.
It's great that growing up you could buy 50$ worth of fucking jeans! we're talkin' about a girl who came from litterally *nothing*.
& NO she's not fucking paris hilton, she doesn't go & spend "daddy's" money, she works for what she has.
who the fuck are you people anyways?
some of you guys really need to educate yourself about this whole terrorism thing 'cause THAT is what is getting out of hand. Having her face screen printed on a tee is like her logo for her t-shirts & it represents more that just a whole bunch of fucking colors. It's more than walking around with her face on your chest, it's understand everything she's been through and what other kids are going through EVERYDAYYYYY in Underdeveloped countries. she wants her story to be heard so people like YOU don't go around talking shit about her.
She's not taking the money & wiping her ass with it! Maya is actually doing GOOD things.. she's building a school in Liberia which is a lot better than you people wasting your time and bringing her down.
my goodness.

I love M.I.A's anti patriarchial (fat old white men making money off of the poor) message that she asserts in her music. Honestly I am a little saddened from what I have recently learned about M.I.A. She recently posed as a model for ads that appear in Teen Vogue, a magazine that offers a pretty screwed up ideas of femininity for young women. Now I find out that she started her own clothing line which includes $80 tee-shirts and even more expensive jump suites. WTF?

An artist is an artist. Few people become a Brand. Its her job to evolve be on the come up in life. You guys should stop bein assholes get some therapy and choose a job you really like so you dont have to blog about being cheap assholes. Dont criticize a persons will to motivate and cultivate herself. People are born with or without it. People fart that money away.
