Michael Lohan's Political Cartoon

Lindsay Lohan's dad Michael, who previously wowed us with his songwriting and media savvy, has picked up a new hobby while he remains incarcerated for DUI, contempt of court and beating his brother-in-law with a shoe.

Making political cartoons!

His first one debuts in NY Daily News today. Lloyd Grove decodes the drawing depicting dad's "troubled" relationship with Firecrotch.

In the 46-year-old Lohan's cartoon, [villains] include money-grubbing lawyers with devil's horns, a prison guard, a paparazzo and an Ugg-booted woman who might be Lindsay's mom, Dina, or her publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik. They're all tearing the daughter away from her dear old dad.

"Shame on you," declares the Lord Almighty, who's shown glowering and pointing from heaven. "Don't you know that some things are sacred!?!"

Also depicted - in see-no-evil, hear-no-evil, speak-no-evil poses - are Lindsay's younger siblings, Michael, Alina and Cody. On the back of the cartoon, the artist has scribbled: "The Spiritual Realities and Physical Elements of the truth behind this whole situation."

And here it is:

Anything missing?

In the comic, one of Papa Lohan's shoes has come loose. What is the iconography of this? Presumably this is the shoe used in the assault that landed the man in jail. Are we to understand this object's prominent placement in the image -- between father and daughter -- as some kind of statement about their relationship? "The only thing keeping us from being a FAMILY again is that damn shoe (and the assault I committed with it... and the DUI)".

Fascinating.

It's official; I hate everything.

With this and Paris Hilton claiming her record is so good it made her cry, I just don't know anymore.

I just wonder why he chose to portray himself wearing a sleeveless shirt and gloves (possibly a braclet, I'm not sure). Did he just want to show off those awesome guns and his tat?

I think they're meant to be handcuffs on his wrist, Greg.

And who is he to lay the blame on the younger siblings for not responding? What are they, 10, 12? Sure, dude, it's their fault. Keep telling yourself that.

Wow... you gotta give it to the guy. He sure can draw lol... as insane as this is it as at least a LITTLE less dramatic than that video for Lindsay's "Daughter To Father" video... you know the one where she's in a shop front sobbing, and her little sister is in a tutu doing the same? Surely that isn't very normal...
