Motley Cruise

And Vince Neil's slow descent (ascent?) into the realm of Sammy Hagar rolls on. The Crüe faithful now have the chance to board a boat and sail the high seas with the Mötley man. Obviously the vacation plan is being called the Motley Cruise, and obviously the punny name was the sole impetus for the hair(band)-brained scheme. All the questions you could ever have -- well, all but that all-important "Why, god?" -- are answered at the FAQ page, including a brief overview of the trip:

"Vince Neil's Motley Cruise" is a 4-day music filled vacation on board a luxury cruise liner with a visit to Key West, FL, and Calica, Mexico. Departing Miami on January 24, 2008 on the Carnival Imagination and returning January 28, 2008. Vince Neil's Motley Cruise will feature an up-close-and-personal concert by Vince Neil of Motley Crue, as well as several other recognizable bands (to be announced).
Wading in "threat or promise?" territory is the query answered "Vince Neil is very excited to join you onboard during all three days of the event!" Rock! Ranging from $479 for Riviera Interior to $1699 for an Upper Balcony Suite, this is the vacation you can't wait to never tell your friends about in shame. Make your reservation here.

I'm not saying I'd go on their cruise but I saw Motley Crue twice last year and don't regret it. People should go back and listen to their first album.

Somehow Cabo Wabo Cantina with Sammy and some really good tequila still sounds better than some lame-ass celebrity cruise.

recognizable how, these bands? like, "hm, four guys, two guitars, one bass guitar, one set of drums- must be a band!"

I don't know, when Vince was on The Surreal Life he seemed like he would be a really cool person to hang out with. I think he would be a hell of a lot more fun to party with than Sufjan. Unless, of course, your idea of partying is reading bible passages. Then, Sufjan would be party central.

I like my chances with any woman that would sign up for this cruise.

Vince Neil is hardly a has-been. He STILL rocks...either with his band going on this cruise or with the original Motley Crue. Don't take some lame blog like this and rethink your feelings about a guy that has been selling out arenas for more than 2 decades. my only wish is that the gutless wonder who slammed Vince (and Sammy) was brave enough to add his name to the post. I'd pay for his trip just so we could shout "man overboard". Vince rocks.and so does Sammy!
