Mountain Goats' Satanic Messiah Can Be Yours For $6.66 Actually, you have three pricing options, but "devotee level" is the most appealing from a Satanic standpoint (go less for "congregant level," $10 gets you "acolyte"). The four-song EP exists in physical form as a double 7" limited to 666 copies. You'll only find it at Mountain Goats live shows, but the download, just below Aeron Alfrey's fiery artwork, can be found at satanicmessiah.com. How did Cradle Of Filth not already own that domain name?

Yes, this is Actually legal. Donations are highly recommended by the band, but they are not required for you to download it. The way I see it, The Mountain Goats released one of the best albums of the year, but it was so long ago they are afraid people will forget about it by the time they start putting together 'Year End' lists and such. Which is very likely. Bands actually do this quite often when they release a good album in the first quarter. So enjoy the band's insecurity about not having any long term followers, and enjoy the new songs, they are excellent, and very piano driven. Don't be scared off by the "Satanic Messiah" title either. There is nothing Satanic about the songs or the lyrics to the songs.
