Caroline's Murmurs

Call it a contrast in styles. Unlike label mate Miss Violetta Beauregarde (both on Temporary Residence Limited), Caroline sounds like the kind of girl you could bring home to mama, oozing innocent, understated charm throughout Murmurs, the Japan-born, Berklee-grad's debut effort. Sure, she may be a bit Braff-rock (and don't be surprised if she turns up on Zach's next soundtrack) but, for now, there's enough hook to keep us coming back.

I honestly thing that 'Murmurs' is one of the worst releases this year. Well, it isn't the worst, 'Boo hoo hoo boo', 'Heaven's pregnant teens' and 'Let me introduce my friends' beat it, but it is way down there.
