Dark Was The Night - Live At Radio City Music Hall

thubmnail icon: Dark Was The Night - Live At Radio City Music Hall

The jam-packed Red Hot compilation comes to life 5/3 at Radio City Music Hall with Dave Sitek, Dirty Projectors, Feist, My Brightest Diamond, the National, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, and more to be announced. Tickets go on sale Friday 3/13 via Ticketmaster. We will see you there. Also, if you remember when we first started listening to Dark's tracklist, folks were pretty much unanimously into the great Nico Muhly-arranged National track, "So Far Around the Bend." Now, if you don't already own the comp, you can take the song home with you:

The National - "So Far Around The Bend" (MP3)

Dark Was The Night is out via 4AD.

UPDATE: Feist posted a flier that lists Grizzly Bear and David Byrne, too...

BV reports that those performers are not yet confirmed.

Ticketmaster says there's a presale on Wednesday. Anyone know anything about that?

my morning jacket? ben gibbard? Grizzly Bear?

Those 3 need to be there to be worth the probably insanely expensive ticket

The Cello Song cover by Jose Gonzalez and The Books is the best track on the album--imho.

I have to politely, (but firmly) disagree with bananafana feux. The best tracks are the Yeasayer song followed closely by Grizzly Bear's majestically sad "Deep Blue Sea."

Any guesses on ticket price?

I hear you Brian. I'm in Vegas as well--non of my out of state friends believes me that the music scene here blows.

I believe that the Bon Iver track was the best on the album, with The National in second, Sufjan in third, and Grizzly Bear in a close fourth.

i never got into bon iver, but i loved their song on this compilation, so maybe that'll be a gateway for me.

'so far around the bend' is my other favourite. those two songs are getting a lot of listens on my last.fm
