Dr. Dog, Soft Tigers, And Hey Willpower! Cover Architecture In Helsinki

Can't blame the Aussies of AiH for going big with "Heart It Races," the global-grooved steel-drumming stand-out from Places Like This. In addition to commissioning remixes from folks like Pink Skull and DJ/Rupture & Mr. Lee*G, Architecture In Helsinki has tapped three acts to cover the tune. (This is where we remind you that the record ain't even out yet.) In case you haven't heard the original, head here for the vid (and for those in YouTube-hating places of employ, stream at MySpace), and then a have a listen of the following cover salute. Hey Willpower! and Soft Tigers play up the dance pulse of "Heart It Races," while Dr. Dog do it up with handclaps, slide guitar, some trippy hollerbacks, and their trademark throwback vibe.

Dr. Dog being a Stereofave and all, thought it'd be nice for you to take theirs as a little souvenir from Helsinki.

Enjoy.

wow. just throw in a hardcore version of 'heart it races' and i can get every single one of my friends their own 'heart it races'. hell- throw in a version with heavy breathing and there's a version for all my personalities. all 3 are good covers proving the validity of the original song to those sexy skeptics, but i still like the original best-- oh go disagree with me.

Hey guys! You should really check out this awesome remix of the Peter Bjorn and John song "Young Folks." It's done by none other than Kanye West! I'm sure you won't be diasppointed!

I like Hey Willpower's the best, I think it brings out the funnest aspects of the song, and I love the background vocals! I want to play it at a BBQ and then take my top off. Then I'll be topless!

Oh wow... Dr. Dog's version is insanely good. I would say way better than the original, and the best of the remixes.

I'm going to have to say Dr. Dog did it up the best, very chill and mellow. Makes me want to sit around a fire with friends and just relax.
