Guilt-Free MP3s With A Freaky Chaser

First, the good music. A bunch of stuff we've been listening to, or heard about and finally got around to checking out, of varying degrees of newness.

(Tell me you didn't get a tiny crush on that Lavender Diamond at second 7.)

No comment: A California man who brutally murdered his sister's family with his bare hands tried a pretty original head fake for the cops:

Wycoff said he went to a Coldplay concert on Monday night at Arco Arena in Sacramento -- the first concert he had ever attended in his life. He said he didn't drink or use drugs, which he says he never does.

"I thought it could be a bit of an alibi," he said. "It seems like somebody who goes to a Coldplay concert wouldn't do this."

So killed them for being 'too liberal in their political views' eh? I really don't know what to make of that.

The album Skeleton by Figurines is great. Pick it up if you haven't done so already!

To be fair, this is as good of a reason for attending a Coldplay concert as any.

coldplay makes me want to kill everyone with my bare hands. pinches, slaps, strangles and hand claps should do the trick.

Blank Dogs are actually singular: It's the insanely prolific one-man Brooklyn-based band of Mr. Blank Dog. We don't know too much about the biography of the guy behind the bedroom new-wave pop/punk and he's usually covering his face with masks...

Quit Your Day Job: Megafaun

Raleigh-via-Eau Clair BTW Megafaun debuted impressively earlier this year with Bury The Square. The trio nip-and-tuck experimental tendencies (tape splicing, white noise colliding with banjo, junkyard-laced spring reverb, screeching feedback at the tail end of a quiet back porch lament)...

Premature Evaluation: of Montreal - Skeletal Lamping

Skeletal Lamping is anything but skeletal. When we took a close listen to album closer "Id Engager" we mentioned it wasn't the strangest, most ambitious, or best tune on of Montreal's new one, but after absorbing the other 14 tracks,...
