Joe Budden Hearts Metallica

The mixtape circuit championed The Game-fueding Joe Budden a few years back, but "Pump It Up" was what broke him far and wide. His self-titled full-length didn't go over as he wanted, but talks and leaked snippets of "Unforgiven" had people crowing "instant classic." But it's not a sample! Joe actually brought the Hetfield gang into the studio to rework their black album track. Budden spoke it with AllHipHop.com:

AllHipHop.com: Let’s talk about this joint “Unforgiven.” A couple people were really buzzing about that, calling it classic Budden material.

Joe Budden: Eh, “Unforgiven,” featuring Metallica. It’s a dope track. The track is nuts. It jumps. Every other bar, the topic changes. It’ll go from talking about me and my deranged thinking at points to talking about poverty to depression. Any hardcore Joe Budden fan knows that if there’s one thing I do well, it’s vent and get introspective.

The track has finally leaked in full, Budden shifting flow with each topic. Worth a listen. Grab it at Nah Right.

Why do people say 'hearts' instead of 'loves'? I mean, really . . .

Let me be first one to admit that the name Joe Budden doesn't mean shit to me. I like hip hop, occasionally buy hip hop albums which usually disappoint me. Just to vear totally off track here, I thought the J Dilla albums were both alternating bits of greatness and mediocrity and annoying repetitive samples--and Busta Sounded lame, like a cartoon character of his former self. And D'Angelo and Common song was phoned in by both, especially the former, who is so talented and soooo slow in releasing anything. That said, I still dig on Brown Sugar and Voodoo (was that the name of the second album?). But to get back to Joe Budden. he certainly doesn't look "hip hop" and Metallica is increasingly extremely lame. Listen to the solos coming out of the band (Kirk Hammet??) on Master of the Puppets or even "The One." Those dudes were ferocious. Now, there are one step behind Mellencamp doing chevy commercials. But Mellencamp pretty much always sounded that way. Last parting shot to Joe Budden, his momma dresses him funny. Holla

Am I the only one that thinks Hetfield's singing on this sounds like Weird Al?
