Josef K In The USA
On 11/7, Domino releases Entomology, an anthology of the influential Edinburgh post-punk band Josef K. Via Domino: "This will be the first official release from Josef K to see the light of day in the US, even though all of the recordings included are over 25 years old. Yes, it’s criminal that this music has never before been available to the US record buying public, but that crime is finally being corrected."
Very cool. If you need a history lesson visit AMG.
Otherwise, headphones on!

Finally!!! I can't wait, and youo are correct in saying that it is huge crime that there has been no US releases.

this is great... they're also on this 3-disc compilation called "kilt by death," of all scottish punk. it's got some other real gems, would love to hear more about these bands!

Crap, it's about time!! I've been trying to buy Orange Juice and Josef K albums for a while and all I could find were really expensive imports. This is good news.

speaking of the need for history lessons, i see pitchfork made a mistake in their item on this compilation: they claim the fire engines were on postcard records alongside josef k and orange juice (they weren't; it's an important distinction) and seem unwilling/unable to correct themselves.
