New Beck - "Vampire Voltage No. 6"

thumbnail icon: New Beck - "Vampire Voltage No. 6"

This b-side to the "Chemtrails" 7" is born of the very same, psychy Modern Guilt sessions as its a-side, but the last minute sounds more like the '60s beloved by Black Mountain than the '60s revisited by Dan Snaith. It really needs to be at least two minutes longer and whoops there go the Black Mountain similarities. Grab "Vampire Voltage No. 6" at Covert Curiosity (via Vulture).

Modern Guilt is out now and is highly enjoyable.

Hey, i'm gonna enter this contest, and if I win, i get free airfare to Seattle and get to interview bands at Bumbershoot, and probably see Beck for free while I'm there.

I've never been a huge Beck fan.
But Modern Guilt is one of the best
things that have crossed my ears
in a long time. I'd recommend people
who haven't been Beck fans to check
out his new record.

I like this little jam, but my attention span demands I get to the good stuff, so this skips the first 1:20 and gets to the rockin':
