New BLK JKS - "Molalatladi"
![]()
Eclectic Johannesburg, South Africa psychedelic/progressive rock quartet BLK JKS released the Mystery EP on Secretly Canadian in early March and have a full-length, After Robots, due on the same label this fall. The nine-track collection was produced by the Secret Machines' Brandon Curtis in Bloomington, Indiana, who does a great job capturing the howling guitars. See, for example, frenetic, horn and group vocal-lined opener "Molalatladi," translated "Rainbow."

Good. This song is way more interesting than the other song I had heard of them: "Lakeside". I can't stop thinking of TV on the Radio when I listen to that one.
