New Chromeo - "Fancy Footwork"

Here's the first track from electrofunkers Chromeo's follow-up to 2004's She's In Control. Still not shy about their synths, "Fancy Footwork" kicks off with "Beat It"-intro swooshes before turning out a two-stepping over-the-top dance track.

Chromeo - "Fancy Footwork" (MP3)

David's been living in Paris these days, which is clearly informing the look.

The new Chromeo record is out this June.

I can't take this band seriously when I used to see that skinny guy at the oh-so-indie grad student 3:00 tea party all the time.

i don't think their aim is to be taken "seriously". it's fun music. i like the new song.

'you're so gangsta' is still my jam though.

The dude on the left looks like Andy Sandburg's character from "D*ck In A Box".

Yeah, I also did a double take when I clicked...totally looks like Samberg's character from the "Dick In a Box" video.
