New Dan Deacon - "Snake Mistakes"

Take a look at the pic below; kids, this is what happens when your left brain is left unchecked and imbalanced. Maybe that shot will make it difficult to believe Dan Deacon's a classically trained composer, but his spastic electronic party blasts do contain a modicum or order and logic, a voice of some reason, filtered through pitch-shifters and vocoders. Dan recently signed to Carpark, and this one comes from his first release for that label, Spiderman Of The Rings.

Dan Deacon - "Snake Mistakes" (MP3)

Another of our faves is "Wham City," though this one's been floating around the blogs and the MySpaces -- and it's sugar-rush pulse and lustrous synths may be a better jumping off point for the uninitiated.

Dan Deacon - "The Crystal Cat" (MP3)

The bizarre and awesome Spiderman of the Rings is out 5/8 on Carpark. Sadly haven't seen him live yet, though we'll change that this May. Suggest you do the same, so check the dates after the jump.

Please don't make Dan Deacon famous. He is horrible. Hipster synth bullshit. I saw him live.

Quit Your Day Job: Ungdomskulen
