New Elk City - "Cherries In The Snow (Pocket Mix)"

Our old friend Richard brings us his latest beat-infused confection, taking the bell-clanging tart-pop of Elk City's "Cherries In The Snow" and throwing it through his deep-Pocket synths 'n' beats machine. Like what he's done here; make no mistake, it's for a dance club that we'll probably never get to, but there's a sly verse-rework thing happening that gives the Elk track a new look. Have a listen...

Richard the Pocket man has left our fair city and set up shop in Portland, OR, but he assures us his beats will go on. Meanwhile, Elk City's New Believers is available via Friendly Fire and have a CD release show at Joe's Pub in NYC on 6/27. And for bonus consumption, take the jump for their "Cherries" vid.

Has anyone seen this band live?
I'm debating whether or not to go to the Joe's Pub show.
