New Feist - "My Moon, My Man"

Leslie Feist's newbie from the forthcoming The Reminder slipped out today, just two days after her 31st birthday (Happy Birthday, Feist!). Aside from the drummer's crash cymbal tantrum two minutes in, it's restrained, sexy, and has us expecting good things from the record. Hear it at Hype. Meanwhile, Feist's "Mushaboom" was on The Hills on Monday, so maybe we'll hear "My Moon, My Man" in Brooklyn.

The Reminder is out 5/1 in the US and Canada.

Do you really think Leslie reads your blog? I'll tell her you said Happy Birthday... tonight... when we're naked... in my bed... in my dreams...

i've been hearing feist everywhere all of a sudden... in restaurants, coffee shops, tv shows, even on the overhead p.a. on a recent american airlines flight. anyone else noticed this? she must have gotten a new agent recently or something...

Feist has been a coffehouse staple for over a year; Mushaboom's supposedly always in heavy rotation in Starbucks' across the country, and I've heard Gatekeeper and remixes of One Evening in many a Borders and Gap.

Just heard Gatekeeper on an investment company's commercial on CNBC over the week as well.

All the good for her; she really deserves it. Let It Die was one of my favorites of 2004, and The Reminder, along with St. Vincent's newest, is quickly becoming my most anticipated female album this year.
