New Ghostland Observatory - "Dancin' On My Grave (Let There Be Vinyl Remix)"

Last time we checked in with Austin electro-soul duo Ghostland Observatory, frontman Aaron Behrens was nursing a "Heavy Heart," though his energized At The Drive-In-style yowls along with multi-instrumental cohort Thomas Ross Turner's apocalyptic gyrations sounded anything but down in the dumps. This time, turns out someone's dancing on Behrens's grave, the poor bastard. But, like last time, doesn't seem like it's cramping his style ... or braids.

Ghostland Observatory - "Dancin' On My Grave (Let There Be Vinyl Remix)" (MP3)

This is the extra-fuzzy and beat-boxed remix of the Robotique Majestique track, which you can hear in original form at the band's MySpace.

Robotique Majestique is out on Trashy Moped.

Ghostland is my favorite band right now. I haven't seen Daft Punk live yet, so my opinion may change, but I don't know of any bands that have matched the energy and craziness of Ghostland.

I like their outfits. At least they aren't wearing flannel shirts, jeans and gym shoes.

They don't have tattoos (that we know of) or piercings or wear heavy jewelry.

That other stuff is old and overdone.
