New Luke Temple - "Family Vacation"
Anyone with a blog and an email inbox has seen the raves for Luke Temple from indie titans like Sufjan Stevens and Ben Gibbard, glistening so brightly that you nearly need to turn away and run from the ostentation. That'd be a mistake, though -- turns out Death Cab For Stevens have some good taste in singer-songwriters. Luke released his second LP this year to raves, and "Family Vacation" proves it all just and not simply the product of a fancy endorsement or two. His tenor runs the track with an alluring androgyny, managing to pull the ear despite a busy (and cool) arrangement. Consider the track stamped with our highest approval.
