New Men Without Pants - "And The Girls Go"
Why didn't anyone come up with this band name before Russell Simins and Dan The Automator? Hindsight, punsters. Regardless, taking a break from rocking out with the kids in Tiny Masters of Today, Simins handles guitars, drums and vocals while Dan's on programming/electronics. Both do production. If this seems like an oddball collaboration, remember Dan produced Jon Spencer Blues Explosion's Acme. Plus, both like the funk. A full album won't be out until June, but you can take a listen to "And The Girl Go" right now. There's an unidentified guest female vocalist on there, too. Until the vocals came on, it reminded us of Blur. As you can tell in this pic, dude's are bluffing about the pants, though there's plenty of spice. No comment on the oils...
