New Mountain Goats - "Get Lonely" (Live At Amoeba)

YouTube, the Mountain Goats, and Amoeba Records team up for the appropriately titled "YouTube Presents: Sessions At Amoeba Featuring The Mountain Goats" channel. Premiering Monday, each of the three YTP:SAAFTMG episodes features a performance from the Goats' in-store earlier this week, and Q&A with John Darnielle and Carl Newman. The kind folks at Beggars are giving away MP3s from the performance.

Here's The Mountain Goats - "Get Lonely (Live At Amoeba)" (MP3)

Go to Six Eyes for "Wild Sage."

Get Lonely is in stores now. And watch that awesome "Woke Up New" video if you haven't yet.

I was at the show, and saw the signs proclaiming that it was being recorded for YouTube and that we were giving up our video souls by being in the store. You can check out my review of the show at Jealousy Got Us This Far ( http://jealousygotus.blogspot.com/2006/08/mountain-goats-amoeba-music-82206.html ). It was a great set with mostly new stuff, but enough of the older songs to keep me happy.

I had two songs from this same show on Saturday ("Golden Boy" & "Moon Over Goldsboro":
