New Raveonettes - "Come On Santa"

thubmnail icon: New Raveonettes - "Come On Santa"

If you recall, when we mentioned the Raveonette's series of digital EPs, we noted the Danish duo would be bringing it all to a close with a Christmas-themed collection. 'Tis the season for holiday songs, George Michael, so please welcome the Wishing You A Rave Christmas EP into the rock-noir canon. For starters, you can take a listen to (and take home) "Come On Santa." They also put their spin on Phil Spector's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" for the collection. This one sounds like it could've been written by Spector.

If you get your copy of Wishing via Amazon, they tack-on a Lust Lust Lust b-side, "Forever In Your Arms."

Wishing You A Rave Christmas is out via Vice. Ring in the New Year with Sune and Sharin:

01/15 - Boston, MA @ Paradise Rock Club
01/16 - New York, NY @ Webster Hall
01/17 - Washington, DC @ Black Cat
01/23 - San Francisco, CA @ Bimbo's 365 Club
01/24 - Los Angeles, CA @ Henry Fonda Theatre

Kids, this a great reminder of why commas are your friend. The title would sound way less pervy if it were the grammatically correct "Come On, Santa." Unless, of course, the song actually is about ejaculate on Santa.

I'm not talking about Oxford commas, just regular ones. An Oxford comma is the one used before the "and" in a series. Example: On Stereogum, you can find posts about The Raveonettes, George Michael, and Phil Spector.

As you can see, I give a fuck about Oxford commas.

It's an unfortunate title. Nice song, though.

Is this song about Elves revenge?

They should rename it "Cum on Santa".

lookie-here

Are you serious, this is going out for free? AFTER I did my civic duty and bought it off iTunes..sigh. And I only bought this song too, not the EP. I feel like an idiot.
