New Spiral Stairs - "True Love"
You might not remember anything Pavement-related from just before the announcement of the band's reunion tour, but when we posted "Maltese T," (FKA "Maltese Terrier") from The Real Feel, Scott Kannberg's proper Spiral Stairs solo debut, I said the vintage rocker had an Australian feel to it. The thought got into my head because Spiral lived in Melbourne for a while before moving back to Seattle, but once it was there, the song reminded me of the Drones. Same goes for "True Love," which finds Kannberg moving into bluesy barroom territories.

Whoa Spiral AND Bob Mould touring together? I'm a little jealous that they aren't heading east together. Although I suppose that having Dino Jr and Bob together in Philly makes up for it.
