New Spoon - "The Ghost Of You Lingers"

The first taste from Spoon's forthcoming album is spreading the nets, and Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga is it nice! Actually it may not be for everyone, but give it five spins before coming to a conclusion, it's a creeper. No percussion to speak of; mostly we get a few heavily reverbed Britts over sixteenth-note piano pounding and some studio swoosh for the close listeners.

Enjoy.

I dig it. it's not a single, but it's quite nice. even if it completely rips off Kraftwerk's "Elektrisches Roulette", that's fine by me, as 'Ralf & Florian' is one of my favorites. Is this Spoon's krautrock album?

We saw them a couple weeks ago and they played almost nothing new. Bummer. This track is amazing. Britt's one of those guys who can mix it up and still be recognizeable. At shows, he's always asking the crowd whose got the weed. Now I understand what he's been using it for.

This album leaked about two days ago. It's really a well made album.

i'm disappointed...i kept waiting for it to get cool. way too dissonant. i hope that this is simply a throwaway track from an otherwise brilliant album.
