New Twilight Sad - "Cold Days From The Birdhouse"
After stumbling on to The Twilight Sad's EP and promptly marking 'em a Band To Watch, we've been hotly anticipating the Glaswegian band's full-length debut Fourteen Autumns And Fifteen Winters. The first single is also the album's lead track, and it's exactly what he hoped for, deftly blending the band's white-noise shoegaze guitars and its roof-busting emotional ambition. Peter Katis (Interpol, Mercury Rev) mixed the record, and his deft touch balances the feedback segues, slide acoustics, tinkling piano, and crash cymbal tantrums with just enough room for James Graham's thick Scottish brogue to pierce, charm, and wither. Great stuff.

Do you guys blog from somewhere other than the internet, where this album hasn't been available for over a week? Or have we gotten to the point where you only re-hash press release type info from your corporate inbox?

I love this blog. People are so obnoxious for no reason at all (see above). However, I really enjoy the obnoxious comments too.
I'm bummed that i won't get to see the 4/2 Twilight Sad show and am hoping they return. They have an excellent sound. I believe their myspace page has a few other good tracks.

I can't stop listening to the full length (which leaked weeks ago). AMAZING. Looking forward to seeing them many times at SXSW.
