New Veils - "Jesus For The Jugular"

Finn Andrews may have lost all his bandmates, but his Veils are no worse off. The band's now a trio, with bassist Sophia Burn and pianist Liam Gerrard. Here he eschews the dreamy folkscapes and Jeff Buckleyisms of Runaway Found for a sound a bit more sinister, and a lot more intriguing.

The Veils - "Jesus For The Jugular" (MP3 Link Expired)

Nux Vomica is out 9/11 overseas, but no domestic release has been announced as far as I know.

Encyclopedia.com says Nux Vomica is a bitter-tasting drug obtained from the poisonous seeds of Strychnos nux-vomica, a tree that grows in Sri Lanka, India, and N Australia. In minute quantities it has a powerful peristaltic action on the intestines and in larger doses causes convulsions and death.

In case you were wondering.

The Veils are great. This song is good. BUT, there are some fantastic songs on this new record. The only blog, I think, other than this one to pay them their due, is sixeyes. i think there is a song or two on that blog from the new record. THANKS! for telling the unknowing masses of this band.
