New Animal Collective - "Bleed" (Live In D.C.)

thubmnail icon: New Animal Collective - "Bleed" (Live In D.C.)

Earlier today we posted the complete stream for Animal Collective's show last night at the 9:30 Club, but for those of you who want to cut to the chase and locate the new stuff, here's a stand-alone MP3 for an echoing, cavernous song currently titled "Bleed." It's a brief 3-minute shadowy, clanging, and woodsy transitional piece.

And, since we didn't do it last time, here's the D.C. set list via NPR:

01 "Chocolate Girl"
02 "Summertime Clothes"
03 "Guys Eyes"
04 "What Would I Want Sky"
05 "Comfy In Nautica"
06 "My Girls"
07 "Slippi"
08 "Daily Routine"
09 "Bleed"
10 "Lablakely Dress/Fireworks"
11 "Banshee Beat"
12 "Who Could Win a Rabbit"
13 "Brother Sport"

I always judge overall musical quality and song-writing ability by quantity of follicles too; stick it to the man! (Or just to the balding man, apparently)

i like AC as much as anyone else around here and am super happy for their success, but isn't this coverage getting to be a little effing much?

Thanks for the mp3 link, stereogum guys. The NPR stream always "times out" and I have to guess where I was in the concert.

I like the idea of little sonic postcards...AnCo just does it and gets it out there...maybe they don't even remember being on Letterman at this point...love em for that.

They should've played "For Reverend Green".

They don't play it live without Deakin. They need the extra guitar and vocal.

Not a mind-blowing show, but an enjoyable one nonetheless. Also, it was the first time I met the guys. They are the nicest!

This stream is like the best I've ever herd them maybe. They sound great. panda bear is in tune! and Avey Tare is always great

sounded like my toddler banging pots in the kitchen with reverb and avey and panda yelling at each other

not bad, reminds me of Search For Delicious a lil bit.

I really want Deakin back for these new tracks, though.

I know it's a very single heavy song but I was really hoping for "Bluish" to show up.. Apparently they have seldom performed it this tour :\
