New Atlas Sound - "Doctor" & "The Screens"

Bradford Cox opens Virtual 7" no. 8 with a rousing cover of the vintage 'late 50s/early '60s pre-Now Sound Brooklyn doo-wop group the Five Discs' "Doctor." The B-Side's a somber harmonica-lined campfire-side track called "The Screens" that'd work well with what Cox has been doing lately in the more stripped down moments of his Atlas Sound live shows. Pretty, but there's a reason "Doctor" shows up where it does.

Of course, those songs first popped up on the Deerhunter blog. As a "Reminder," Cox also recently put out that Logos Bonus CD.

Since you cannot comment on the Deerhunter blog, thank you Bradford for releasing this and finally giving us a higher bit-rate, that 128 was getting out of control.

Bradford Cox is probably one of the hardest working people in music out there these days, I revisit Deerhunter and Atlas Sound after not listening to them for a period of time and it never disappoints.
