New Bob Mould - "City Lights (Days Go By)"

thubmnail icon: New Bob Mould - "City Lights (Days Go By)"

When Bob Mould joined No Age onstage, he reached back into Hüsker Dü's catalog and performed the classic "New Day Rising." While at SXSW, I was talking with a friend about how much I love Mould's voice, that there's such a nostalgic resonance to it that even if the song he's singing isn't the best he's written, I'm still drawn to it. "City Lights (Days Go By)" from Mould's forthcoming eighth solo album Life And Times isn't a classic, no, but like I said, I keep on listening.

I'm a huge fan of Mould's, but I really really wish he would give up on using autotune on his vocals. It sounds bad.

I totally agree with you. Just belt it out Bob! That's the best thing about his voice. Oh, the Sugar days were a treat. Copper Blue is such a classic album.

Yeah. The Autotune sounds bad/annoying. It always reminds me of Cher's "Do You Believe?" Bob's really losing his edge lately. District Line was great overall, but some real stinkers in there as well.

Forget his vocals-- let the guitar out a little bit. A little more volume would make this 10 times better
