of Montreal Sing About Dental Hygiene, Get Remixed By Mad Decent

thumbnail icon: of Montreal Sing About Dental Hygiene, Get Remixed By Mad Decent

On the eve of ambitious, enjoyably horn-dog Skeletal Lamping, the pansexual glam troupe of Montreal have recorded a song about keeping your mouth clean: It's aimed at getting kids to brush and will appear on Yo Gabba Gabba!, that Nick Jr./Nogging show for hip kids. MGMT, Mates of State, the Ting Tings, and the Roots are also stopping by this season, though I have no idea what those folks will sing about (MGMT: the art of "very sexy girls who can dance for real"). For now you can listen to Kevin reminding kids of all ages to "brush to the beat / back and forth for a while."

It's also important to keep your Id healthy, so take a listen Mad Decent's remix of the dance-floor-approved "Id Engager."

of Montreal commissioned the Diplo label/stable to do it: It's one of a series of 12"s and will also include a "Philly Club Remix" from DJ Sega along with the original version of the track.

Skeletal Lamping is out 10/7 via Polyvinyl. The "Id Engager" 12" is out 9/30 via Mad Decent.

as a dental student, it pleases me that there is a hip, sexy, and ideologic way to present reasons WHY brushing is good rather than using the old cavity trick.
