Tegan And Sara, Amanda Palmer Cover Rihanna

Really, we should be keeping a running list of all the "Umbrella" covers for posterity, 'cause clearly it's this year's "Crazy." We've already pointed the way to Mandy Moore's acoustic take but never pointed out My Chem's Gerard having his way with it. And who could forget the star treatment afforded to music's very own LonelyGirl, Marié Digby after her doe-eyed YouTube clip. But those are just novelty picks -- if you're looking for a little adventure in your pop-smash covers, give this electric rearrangement by the sisters Quinn a try.

No? More in the mood for, say, mandolin? Try the Dresden Dolls' Amanda Palmer live from The Fringe this August. That crowd sure knows how to sing it's "ella"s and "ay"s, aye? (Thanks, Andrew)

Amanda Palmer - "Umbrella"

Any others out there we should know about? After past it-song covers "Walking With The Ghost" and "Crazy," figured Jack White would've busted one out by now.

I'm only a few seconds in, but this sounds horribly out of tune to me.

Italian pop-punk band Vanilla Sky went so far as to shoot a video for their cover:

I'm confused...

is it ironic because they're doing a cover rihanna, or ironic because they're doing ANOTHER cover of rihanna?

I LOVE YOU TEGAN AND SARA!!! and the only reason it might sound bad is because it's being filmed with a mini dv or a camera phone

The author should write "Quin" instead of "Quinn".

But I love love love their cover. It's so much better than the Original and the one Mandy Moore did.

Who knew the wanna-be attitudes of white-trash suburban wiggers was contagious? But worse than that the disease has gotten more severe. White people are no longer satisfied to mimic tough street attitudes or hip-hop pioneers they also want to mimic every African American poser sellout as well. Pretty soon they'll be dressing up like Condoleezza Rice.
Whats really ironic is how these covers somehow make that pop song MORE accessible to trendy white kids who would never have Rihanna on their iPod, but Teagan and Sara is OK.
