The 'Gum Drop Volume XXXIII: Hear New Frightened Rabbit, Win A Sonos Multi-Room Music System

This week, Glaswegian crew Frightened Rabbit released their sophomore album The Midnight Organ Fight. The elegantly grimy heart breaker "Soon Go" isn't part of the collection, but it was a part of this week's Drop. We spoke with vocalist/guitarist Scott Hutchison about the track, a forthcoming UK 7" B-side, to make sure we knew the back story when we lifted our lighters skyward. You can grab the song and read his words -- including: "The original line on an old 4-track demo was 'someone will tuck you back in,' and it was actually my friend Darren who misheard the lyric as 'there's someone on top of you fucking'" -- here.

Additionally, this week's Drop offers a chance to win a Sonos Multi-Room Music System ($999 value) and to play tunes wirelessly, all over your house...

Tired of rocking out to the new Torche on tiny computer speakers? With the Sonos Multi-Room Music System, you can remove the headphones and play music from your computer, Internet radio, and online music/radio via ZonePlayers strategically placed throughout your home. You can even play different things in different rooms, simultaneously. Again, without wires. With the Sonos Digital Music System you can:

  • Wirelessly stream any song -- from select online music and radio services and your personal digital music collection -- to any room.
  • Enjoy SIRIUS(R), Rhapsody(R) and Pandora(R) for free with 30-day trials inside every box.
  • Instantly access millions of songs and stations -- no ripping, downloading, tagging, or computer required.
  • Control all your music in all your rooms from the palm of your hand with a 3.5" full-color wireless Controller.

This is what it looks like:

One winner gets a Sonos bundle, which includes the Sonos Controller, ZonePlayer 80, and ZonePlayer 100. To learn more about what those things do and to check out the demo, click here. To sign up to the Sonos production information list, mosey over here.

Finally, enter to win the very good goods HERE.

CONTEST ENDS 04/30/08 AT 12PM EST.

I won one of those Sonos deals and I TOTALLY F-ING LOVE the thing. Don't know how I lived without it. It's a sweet prize, trust me.
