The 'Gum Drop XCVII: Hear New Japandroids, Win Lomography Cameras

thubmnail icon: The 'Gum Drop XCVII: Hear New Japandroids, Win Lomography Cameras

Japandroids, the poppy, playfully angsty Vancouver garage-punk duo of guitarist Brian King and drummer David Prowse formed in 2006, self-releasing 2007's All Lies and 2008's Lullaby Death Jams. Originally circulated by Canadian label Unfamiliar, their newest outing Post-Nothing gets an official U.S. release 8/4 via Polyvinyl. We asked King about standout "Wet Hair," curious if he or David ever actually made it to France to french kiss with French girls. Find out while you take a listen to this ultimate summer anthem.

You can also win Diana F+ and Diana Instant Back+ cameras, if you play your cards right.

Here is your chance to take home the newest ultimate Lomographic companion, courtesy of the ever photogenic Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who just released their Heads Will Roll Remix EP and are in the midst of hosting their own fan-made t-shirt contest.

The Diana+ photo package combines the classic soft focus of the Diana F+ (without flash) and the instant gratification of the Diana Instant Back+. One person gets both. This is the Diana F+

And, what's Lomography? As they put it:

The Lomographic Society is a globally active organization dedicated to experimental and creative analogue snapshot photography. Boasting over one million members across the world, this dedicated society of "Lomographers" seeks to document life in a never-ending stream of images following the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography. The Lomographic Society has organized countless numbers of exhibitions, interactive projects, events, and live visuals all over the world with millions of lomographic snapshots.

You can find out more details at the Lomography website. You can enter to win here. We haven't picked winners for the three Motorola Rival A455 phones, so there's still a chance to win one of those, too.

CONTEST ENDS 07/29/09 AT 12PM EST.
