The Postmarks

We've been long-time lovers of Florida's Postmarks, perfect for fans of Camera Obscura, with a dash of Bacharach and a notebook full of heartbroken lyrics. The band's crafted an impressive, melancholic debut "with nods to French pop and Brian Wilson's orchestral arrangements," fit for nostalgic, red wine nights. Stream the album here. If you like, grab this stand-out for your iPhone:

The Postmarks - "Goodbye" (MP3)

And seeing as we're fans of all things Roger O'Donnell, we recommend grabbing his synthed-out remix of "Leaves" at Obscure Sound.

The Postmarks is out 2/6/07 on Unfiltered Records.

HA, I ate at that restaurant. It's on the Lower East Side. My friend thought the tables were too low.
