The Hold Steady Cover Bryan Adams

Craig Finn shared vocals with former Arab Strap guitarist Malcolm Middleton on '80s rock radio staple "Run To You" (along with Led Zeppelin's "Your Time Is Gonna Come" and Malcolm's own "Kiss At The Station") in a recent live session on BBC Radio 1. The occasion was a celebratory send-off for DJ Colin Murray. Between this and Bon Iver's "Your Love" we have the makings of a sweet Indie Rockers Cover 1985 playlist.

Via To Die By Your Side (happy 50th, Moz) via P4K.

Malcolm Middleton's Waxing Gibbous is out 6/1. You can stream four tracks at MySpace and download one of them ("Carry Me") via The 'Gum Drop LXXXVI.

Hmmm...and here I was thinking that, at least musically, the Hold Steady was always covering Bryan Adams. My mistake.

Bryan Adams is so underrated people. Have you ever seen him live!? I've seen The Who, Radiohead, RCHP, R.E.M., McCartney, Billy Joel, Arcade Fire, White Stripes, The Dears, Kraftwerk...... and Bryan Adams was better than them live. It was so damn good. The only show I liked better was David Byrne.
